What is Mentoring?
The International Mentoring Group (IMG) defines mentoring as, “A process of direct transfer of experience and knowledge from one person to another.” Mentoring is an advisory process where one person offers their knowledge, expertise and advice to another.
What subjects does Ladders4Action offer Mentoring on?

How Does it work?
Mentoring session will take place online. Please make sure that you have somewhere quiet and private to speak. Each session will be guided by your interest areas. In the first session, we will map out the scope of future discussions. In each session, you will be able to bounce ideas, ask for advice, feedback or guidance.
We do preparatory work for each session. This might include locating data/research/books which will help you address a specific area of concern.
We could also spend this time reading speeches, concepts and plans to give you feedback through an inclusive lens
Can you definitely help?
Unfortunately, we can't make any promises beyond our commitment to genuine effort.
Part of inclusive best practice is knowing your limits, so if the issue of what you want to address is beyond the scope of our expertise we will say so, and
then help you to find an expert who can help.
Is it Confidential?
Yes, Ladders4Action will maintain confidentiality in all discussions and communications
How much does it cost?
Mentoring sessions are priced at £60 per hour (including preparatory work of up to two hours)
Are the sessions just for one person?
Mentoring usually takes place on a one-to-one basis. Upon request, Ladders4Action will discuss the possibility of group mentoring.
