An informal discussion for anyone who is interested in the intersection of race and disability, hosted by Dr Addy. Dr Addy is a disabled, Mixed-heritage /Black academic and researcher, who is also CEO of Ladders4Action.
We will spend a little time just introducing ourselves and getting to know each other.
The conversation will be shaped by participant interest, but it may include a discussion of experience, concepts, research and advocacy priorities.
The event is free, but donations are always welcome.
Ladders4Action is a small non-profit organisation that works to address complex social issues through connecting research and action in practical, ethical and inclusive ways.
Donations are always welcome, as this and paid commissions substitute our advocacy, event accessibility and pro-bono work.
Please contact email@example.com to highlight any accessibility needs.
Live captioning will be provided for this event. We endeavour to provide BSL interpretation at all of our events. However, as a small non-profit organisation, our aspirations are limited by practical realities. Unfortunately, as this event is unfunded, we have chosen to rely on auto-captioning until requested. If you do require interpretation, please let us know and we will do our best to provide this.
Alternatively, if your organisation can sponsor/provide an interpreter or if you can provide an interpreter through access to work, we would really appreciate support in making this event more accessible. If you can help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
