This talk will begin by looking at how data and research to inform inclusive leadership and practice in the NHS and in the healthcare profession. Focusing upon the experience of staff and patients during the COVID pandemic, we will discuss data, research and inquiries pertaining to race and racialised issues.
In this event we will explore how data, research and inquiries were utilised during the pandemic to highlight and understand the disproportionate impact of COVID; how inequity in knowledge creation and research may have influenced our understanding and what these insights mean for researchers and professionals going forward.
As part of this discussion, Dr Adelaine will discuss her experience and motivation for challenging the UK Research councils to improve on inclusion. Following the presentation by Dr Adelaine, participants will be invited to engage and ask questions in a safe and constructive environment.
